Getting Ready for Summer
Summer is a magical time when most people are feeling their best and showing up as their greatest selves. Our feel good chemicals including serotonin, endorphins and dopamine are surging with the increase in sunshine and anticipation of upcoming activities. With the waterfall of happiness, it is easy to stop doing the things that keep our mental health at its best. We often fall in the trap of thinking that we no longer need these strategies, but the truth is that if we stop them, the inevitable crash of the fall and winter becomes much more difficult. So this summer while you are enjoying one of the best times of the year, it is important to keep up with at least 2 things from your mental health routine. This can include your nutrition, vitamin regiment, exercise schedule, meditation, yoga, faith-based activities, family togetherness or whatever it is that keeps your grounded and well.
